Order Entry

Order Entry is done by navigating through Browse / Search and simply adding items to the Shopping Cart. To order an item you select the Add button which adds the item to the Shopping Cart. In addition, when an item is added to the cart a shopping cart icon and dollar amount of your order will be displayed in the upper right hand corner of the screen indicating that you have items in your cart. When finished ordering you select View Cart or click on the Shopping Cart icon to view the Items in your Shopping Cart.

Speed Entry

Speed Entry provides a quick and efficient means of ordering an item and is particularly useful if you happen to know the item number you wish to purchase. Clicking on the

Speed entry button takes you to the shopping cart where you can enter the item number and quantity. Simply click Add to add the item(s) to the cart.

Searching

The user may search by Item Number or Description.

Order Confirmation/Checkout

When you are finished shopping you can View your Cart in a number of different ways.

1. Select the Shopping Cart icon in the upper right hand side of the screen.

2. Select the View Cart icon on the left hand side of the screen.

Either way, this will navigate you to the Shopping Cart where you may view your items.

At this point you may decide whether or not to clear the cart (Clear Cart) thus removing the current items currently in your cart or you may opt to Checkout.

Pressing the Check Out button will begin the checkout process. An Order Number is assigned to the order. If at any point during the process you need to go back you can click any of the previous steps above.

Order Status

This inquiry function enables a customer to display orders by a category.

- All Orders

- Open Orders

- Backorders

- Completed Orders

- Suspended Orders

- Standing Orders

- Open Quotes

- Suspended Quotes

- Open Credit Memos

- Completed Credit Memos

Within the above order/quote/credit memo types you can also search for orders/quotes of a particular number, ones that have a specific PO Number, or ones that contain a specific item.

In addition to searching by order type you can also add many other constraints to your

search. They are as follows:

- Ship-To Number

- From/To PO Number

- From/To Order Number

- From/To Date

Further, you can also specify what order you want your search returned in.

To see the details of a particular order, click on the Order Number itself. A detailed summarization of the actual order will be displayed.

Clicking on the Order Number column heading will allow you to sort orders by order number either ascending or descending, when available.

Note: When searching by P.O. Number, a partial search may be performed. For example: if 123 is entered, all orders that contain 123 in the P.O. will be displayed.

Clicking on the Report button will display a summarized report of ALL records found.

You may print this report by simply clicking Print from within your browser. An example of the report can be seen on the following page.

Where’s My Stuff?

Order Status can also be checked by clicking the Where’s My Stuff? link on the main menu. This will present you with a slightly different screen than the Order Status link.

From here, you can click on the different order types to jump to their listing.

From here, you may also quickly jump to the different types of orders by clicking on the

Open Orders, Completed Orders or Back Orders links.

Delete Suspended Orders/Quotes

COMNet supports the deletion of suspended orders or quotes listed in Order Status.

You will be prompted with a confirmation screen confirming your request.

COMNet will save any items in a users shopping cart when their session times out and create a Suspended Order from them. You may then view this order by performing a search for Suspended Orders through Order Status.
